Our Design Process

Designing the interiors of residential spaces requires a thoughtful strategic approach to maximize functionality, aesthetics and comfort within a limited space. Our design process differs from other designers in that we carefully consider our client’s lifestyle, circumstances, individuality and aesthetics. Here you can read more about Interior Design>>

In order to create a successful space it is important that we establish the following key elements.

Client Consultation

During the first consultation we aim to understand the client’s lifestyle, preferences and requirements.

We establish the reasons for the need to refurbishment in order to design appropriately.

We identify specific needs, such as storage, multi-functional spaces and any unique conditions or constraints.

Budget

We work closely with our clients to establish a realistic budget, then aim to create an optimal design scheme within it.

We can help to source cost-effective yet stylish furniture and accessories without compromising quality.

We can combine high-street elements with unique or custom-made items in a way that the result will be stylish, exceptional and striking, reflecting our clients’ individuality.

Space Planning

We analyse the available space and create a functional layout to optimize its use.

We prioritize essential or existing elements and allocate them accordingly.

We consider furniture arrangement and traffic flow to ensure a harmonious and efficient design.

We provide a set of initial drawings, including 3D presentations enabling our clients to visualise the design and comment on it.

Colour Scheme and Lighting

We suggest a cohesive colour palette that creates spaciousness and focus points or emphasises features and hides shortcomings.

We suggest strategic lighting systems and/or how to make the most of natural light to create an ambiance or make the space feel brighter, larger and dynamic or cosy, moody and enticing.

Furniture, Fixtures and equipment (FFE):

We can help to choose fabrics and textiles that add texture and interest without overwhelming the space.

We can suggest furnishing elements, rugs and curtains to define different zones within a space.

We’ll help incorporate new and existing decorative accessories to complement the overall design without overcrowding.

We recommend appropriate integrated technology and appliances.

Working with contractors

We can coordinate with contractors and craftsmen to ensure the proper implementation of the design plan.

We can provide them with a set of drawings, showing lighting, electrical, plumbing systems and details of built-in furniture.

We can monitor or manage the progress of the project to be able to address any challenges that may arise during the construction or installation phase.
